WATCH Dublin acapella group, The Ramparts, perform the Oscar-winning Falling Slowly with the cast of Once
On Tuesday August 8th, the cast were joined by some special guests at the end of the show to sing the show’s Oscar-winning song, Falling Slowly, written by Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová.
The Ramparts are an all-male Dublin-based acapella group whose talents have not gone unnoticed. They recently appeared on BBC’s new reality show, Pitch Battle, where their performance of Falling Slowly qualified them through to the final stages. Following that performance, The Ramparts were approached by Brian Gilligan, who plays the lead role of ‘Guy’, to see if they’d like to join the cast of Once for a special rendition of the song.
